Trench knives are used as attachments for road equipment used for laying cable communications in the soil. We have been contacted by customers whose components failed during operation when hitting hard obstacles in the form of stones and concrete elements embedded in the soil. Despite the significant thickness, there have been cases of bending and even breaking of the knives that were originally supplied with this equipment. Based on the presented samples, we developed similar knives using HARDOX steel, which has not only high hardness, but also high strength characteristics, which are determined by a yield strength of up to 1300 MPa. After using our products, no breakages or deformations of knives were observed.
